Seat of KSAP

KSAP is headquartered in a Modernist building designed by one of Poland’s most-outstanding architects of the inter-War period, Prof. Romuald Gutt. This was then the seat of a body called Instytut Społeczny, which was to operate an elite School of Political Sciences here. The design actually took First Prize in a 1926 architectural competition, with effect being given to it stage by stage through the 1926-1932 period. Extension work (notably a raising to three floors) took place in 1949-1950.
