Mission and activity
The Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration is the only institution of its kind in Poland. It basically serves as a government centre of excellence when it comes to training in public administration, and is subordinated directly to the Prime Minister of the day.
The School’s mission is and has to been to support the development of politically-neutral, competent and reliable public-administration personnel, with dissemination of the knowledge and skills needed for the efficient pursuit and completion of public tasks. This also extends to the propagation of innovative solutions and best practices.
What we offer
The National School of Public Administration sets itself goals in regard to the multifaceted development of Poland’s public administration, and most especially its Civil Service.
It trains managers in administration, and supports the development of expert competences and knowledge in specific areas of administration.
KSAP is also a venue at which practitioners in administration can meet. Latest global trends are put on show here, for further dissemination across public administration. Analyses of the challenges facing Polish administration are also carried out at the School.
Our unique profile is founded in basic assumptions that development needs to be constant, with own experience and that of entities of similar remit at home and abroad requiring analysis, even as innovative projects are implemented and pursued, and classes taught and courses run are characterised by their “applied” nature.
KSAP’s activity has focused in on three core areas:
- the training of students – be that dual-path or intramural – with the aim of qualified Civil Service officials being made ready, including also for managerial and leadership posts;
- other training activity – achieved through the organising of a range of sessions and courses, and project programmes – with the aim being to meet the needs of public administration when it comes to the professionalisation of staff, and further training;
- support for public administration – through certification, the exchange of experience and best practice(s), and international cooperation.
